Sorry it has taken so long to update my blog. There has been a lot going on while on board that has captured my full attention.
I'm not sure how many of you have heard, but this past week we lost one of our shipmates. One of my fellow students passed away while on board and it has been a rough couple of days. We had a memorial service and celebrated his life, which was a beautiful service. We took flowers, said prayers and tossed them into the ocean. I knew that it was going to be an emotional day, and it definitely was.
Students are trying to heal and deal with everything that has happened in their own way and we are all trying to help each other.
Rest easy Andre. You are always in our hearts <3
